Jerry Bishop

August 3, 1947 — May 10, 2026

Jerry Bishop, beloved husband, artist, outdoorsman, and traveler, passed away on May 10, 2026, after battling Alzheimer’s disease. He was 78 years old.

Born on August 3, 1947, in Bentonville, Arkansas, Jerry later attended the University of Arkansas. He spent much of his life as a wildlife artist and became widely recognized for his detailed hand-painted prints. He worked as an artist at Silver Dollar City for 25 years. Over the course of his career, he sold more hand-painted prints than nearly any other artist in his field, and his artwork reached collectors across every continent.

Jerry had a deep appreciation for nature and adventure. He enjoyed fishing, swimming, snorkeling, and spending time at Table Rock Lake. He especially loved the Caribbean and traveled extensively throughout the United States during his lifetime.

Above all else, Jerry valued family. He is survived by his wife, Charlcea; his son, Don; nephews Kevin and Jared; half-sisters Gina and Jackie; and half-brothers Kent and Keith.

Jerry will be remembered for his creativity, love of the outdoors, and the lasting impact his artwork left on people around the world. His memory will continue to live on through his family, friends, and the many pieces of art he shared throughout his life.

Cremation rites will be accorded by Adams Crematory and arrangements are under direction of Adams Funeral Home, Ozark.
