Jennifer Marie Schurke

Jennifer Marie Schurke, age 47, of Ozark, departed this world on October 29, 2025. Born on June 16, 1978, in Washington, Missouri, she was the beloved daughter of Judith Homeyer. Her life was a tapestry woven with love, compassion, and an unwavering dedication to others.

On March 20, 1999, Jennifer married the love of her life, Todd Schurke, with whom she shared countless joyful moments and a deep bond that grew stronger each day. Together, they built a nurturing home filled with laughter and warmth.

Jennifer dedicated 15 remarkable years to working in special education for Ozark Schools, where she made a profound impact on the lives of her students. Her keen sensibility and talent for connecting with children were truly extraordinary. Todd affectionately referred to her as “bloodhound,” a testament to her unwavering commitment to supporting and uplifting those who needed it most.

Jennifer’s legacy lives on through her cherished children: Olivia Schurke-Dehart and her husband, William, of Ozark; Evan Schurke and his fiancée, Leah McKeehan, also of Ozark; and their spirited four-year-old daughter, Finley Schurke. She is also survived by her loving siblings, Alan Meyer and his wife, Lisa; Kurt Meyer and his wife, Maria; and Eric Meyer and his wife, Dana. She held a special place in her heart for her parents-in-law, Jim and Marty Schurke.

Jennifer was preceded in death by her mother, whose spirit she carried with her throughout her life.

A memorial service to honor Jennifer’s beautiful life will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 11, 2025, at Adams Funeral Home in Ozark, with Chaplain David Atkins officiating. Friends and family are invited to gather for visitation from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. immediately before the service.

Jennifer's spirit, filled with love and kindness, will always be remembered and cherished by all who knew her. May her memory serve as a guiding light in our lives.
