JEARL DEAN CONNER, 86 YEARS, PASTED AWAY ON MAY 19, 2021, AT HIS HOME IN NIXA WITH HIS FAMILY BY HIS SIDE. HE WAS BORN FEBRUARY 24, 1935 IN OSAGE, AR. LEFT HOME AND JOINED THE US ARMY IN 1958, AND SERVED A TOUR OF DUTY IN GERMANY AS A SP4. HE WAS AN EXPERT RIFLEMAN AND 2ND CLASS GUNNER. AFTER HIS SERVICE HE SETTLED IN CALIFORNIA WHERE HE MET THE LOVE OF HIS LIFE PEGGY L. TUCKER, IN GREENFIELD, CA. THEY MARRIED EASTER SUNDAY, APRIL 22, 1962, IN SALINAS, CALIFORNIA. AFTER MARRIAGE THEY REMAINED IN CALIFORNIA, AS HE CONTINUED TO WORK IN THE FARMING INDUSTRY AS A TRACTOR DRIVER. UPON HIS RETIREMENT IN 2004, THEY THEN MOVED TO NIXA, MO. WHERE HE AND HIS WIFE WERE ACTIVE MEMBERS OF HARMONY BAPTIST CHURCH OF ROGERSVILLE, MO, FOR SEVERAL YEARS. HE WAS A MEMBER OF THE AMERICAN LEGION POST 635 IN GREENFIELD, CA. HE WAS AN AVIDE HUNTER AND FISHERMAN. HIS HOBBY WAS WORKING ON AND REPAIRING OLD CLOCKS. HE LOVED HIS FAMILY AND FRIENDS, ESPECIALLY SPENDING TIME WITH HIS GRANDCHILDREN AND GREAT GRANDCHILDREN. HE NEVER MET A STRANGER AND LOVED TO VISIT. HE IS SURVIVED BY HIS 2 SONS, WILLIAM S. CONNER & WIFE MELODY L. CONNER OF NIXA, MO, JASON L. CONNER, OF KING CITY, CA, BROTHER, CECIL R CONNER OF LOWEL, AR, SISTER, MARY L. BAUGHMAN, OF GREEN FOREST, AR, GRAND DAUGHTERS, CHRISTINA M. BATES, NIXA, MO, TWINS WHITTNEY E. CONNER & BRITTANY A. CONNER BOTH OF KING CITY, CA. GRANDSON MIGUEL A. SAAVEDRA AND WIFE JYL, OF SALINAS, CA. THREE GREAT GRANDSONS, BRYCE, BRAYDEN AND BENTLEY BATES, OF NIXA, MO, AND MANY WONDER NIECES AND NEPHEWS. HE WAS PROCEEDED IN DEATH BY HIS WIFE OF OVER 53 YEARS, PEGGY L. CONNER, PARENTS, JAMES O. CONNER AND LILLIE B. FULTZ, 6 BROTHERS, JOHN W. CONNER, OTIS C. CONNER, CLIFFORD J. CONNER, ROBERT C. CONNER, BILLY J. CONNER, JAMES D. CONNER, DAUGHTER-IN-LAW, ISABELL M. FLORES MEMORIALS MAY BE MADE TO THE AMERICAN HEART ASSOCIATION Private visitation at the funeral home and a private graveside service with full military honors at Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Springfield, will be under direction of Adams Funeral Home, Nixa.
