Janice Marie Jackson

Jun 10, 1951 — Sep 12, 2026

Our sweet mama, Janice Marie Conner Jackson, passed away on September 12, 2026, surrounded by the family who loved her dearly.

Born on June 10, 1951, in Austell, Georgia, to Anderson and Nella Conner, Janice was a woman of deep faith who loved Jesus and her family above all else. She was a lifelong member of Word of Life Baptist Church in Georgia, where she faithfully sang in the choir. After moving to Missouri, she became a member of Hopedale Baptist Church, continuing her walk of faith and love for the Lord.

Janice had an appreciation for beautiful things, especially her jewelry. She enjoyed putting together her jewelry and accessories, making sure everything matched just right. But nothing compared to the love she had for her family. Her greatest joy was being a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, and she treasured every moment spent with those she loved.

Janice was preceded in death by her husband, William “Guy” Jackson; her beloved parents, Anderson and Nella Conner; her sister, Martha January; and her brother, Johnny Conner.

She leaves behind her daughters, Shelly Callahan of Acworth, Georgia, and Sheila Anderson of Ozark, Missouri, who will forever cherish the love, lessons, and memories their mama gave them.

She is also survived by her grandchildren, Steven Callahan of Acworth, Georgia, Conner Anderson of Nixa, Missouri, Heather Callahan Williams and her husband, Ryan, of Gainesville, Georgia, and Caleb Anderson and his wife, Zeda, of Ozark, Missouri.

Janice was a loving great-grandmother to Flynn Anderson, whom she adored. Though she never had the chance to meet her unborn great-grandson, she already loved him deeply and held him close in her heart.

She is also survived by her sisters, Sandra Studstill and Betty Moon; and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the amazing doctors, nurses, and aides who cared for Janice with such compassion, kindness, and love. Their care and support during her final days will never be forgotten.

Our mama's absence will be felt forever. We will miss her smile, her love, those big brown eyes, and all the little things that made her uniquely her. But we find comfort in knowing that she is no longer suffering and is now home with Jesus.

Until we meet again, Mama. We love you forever.
