Janet Faye "Hannah" Whipple

Janet Faye "Hannah"� Whipple, 71, of Nixa, Missouri, passed away June 19, 2011, in St. John"�s Hospital, Springfield, Missouri. She was born October 5, 1939, the daughter of Bonnie and Mildred (Bellis) Hannah. She graduated from Nixa High School in 1957. On March 29, 1959 she was united in marriage to J.L. "Jim"� Whipple. She was a member of the Riverdale Baptist Church. Janet was a homemaker first, and was devoted to her family and close classmates of Nixa High School. Her talents were always creative and inspiring, challenging others to excel and accomplish their dreams. She enjoyed crafts, gardening, and big family dinners. She was a former employee of Zenith, Nixa WalMart, a bus driver for the Strafford and Reed Springs school district, she was an accomplished upholsterer and home interior designer. She is survived by her husband Jim of 52 years, a son, Daren and wife Deena Whipple of Marshfield, daughter Tammy and husband Al Manes of Nixa, two brothers, Gary and wife Judy Hannah of Boaz, Darrell and wife Dana Hannah of Springfield, a sister Shirley Pfaff of Clever; four grandchildren Lidia Whipple, Casey and wife "Casey"� Whipple, Brandon Manes and Jeremy Manes; great-grandchildren Marlee and Lincoln. She was preceded in death by her parents, a son Doug Whipple on July 6, 2000. A memorial service will be held at 5:45 PM Wednesday, June 22, at Adams Funeral Home, Nixa, with the Reverend Jamie Bilyeu officiating. Visitation will follow the service until 8 PM. Memorial donations may be made to the Riverdale Baptist Church or Jones-Chastain Cemetery in care of the funeral home.
