James Dale Whitlock

James Dale Whitlock, age 81 of Cape Girardeau, passed away June 5, 2026. He was born July 23, 1944 in St. Charles, Missouri, the son of Harold Leon and Lillian Frances (Graves) Whitlock.

Survivors include: his children, Scott Whitlock and wife Becky and Kelly Stamp and husband Tim of Colorado; his siblings, Paul Whitlock and wife Wilma of Rogersville and Patricia Bain of Columbia, Illinois.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents; and his other siblings, Wayne Whitlock of Boise, Idaho, Ricky Whitlock of Winfield, Missouri, Eddie Whitlock of Winfield, Missouri and Evelyn Whitlock of Winfield, Missouri.

Jim enjoyed fishing, woodworking, and gardening.

A committal service with military honors will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 23, 2026 at Missouri Veterans Cemetery, Springfield, with Paul Whitlock officiating, under direction of Adams Funeral Home, Ozark.

Cremation rites will be accorded by Adams Crematory and arrangements are under direction of Adams Funeral Home, Ozark.
