James "Jim" T Rayle

James Thorpe Rayle III - Jimmy to his family, Jim to his colleagues and friends, Dr. Jim to his patients - age 49, passed away July 20, 2022.

James was born September 6, 1972, in Springfield MO to Martha Anne Pettibon and James Rayle Jr.  Jimmy married Rhonda Hall of Taneyville MO in October 1995 in Springfield MO.

They have one beautiful daughter, Avery Rayle, currently of Columbia MO.  James held many passions during his lifetime, but she was absolutely at the top of the list!  He was more proud of who she is and what she accomplishes than he could ever find words for.

Behind his daughter and family, James was a lover of dogs, books, movies, target-shooting, swimming, scuba diving, and his motorcycle.

In his professional life, he was devoted to helping others, whether through emergency rooms, Chiropractic practice or 911 dispatch.

Rhonda, I’m very sad for you and your family. May God give you protection and peace.

Jimmy was my younger brother. Not by blood, but by love when my father married his mother a long time ago. Jimmy loved me unconditionally, without question or judgment. I love my brother, and I’m one of 3 people who can say he was my brother. Rest In Peace Jimmy. Avery is now on our watch.

Such a kind and special man grew from baby cousin Jimmy. The only person whoever spit up in my mouth was our forever true joke. So sad that such a very good man is gone far too soon. Praying so for peace and comfort for his loved ones.

I am incredibly thankful for the impact Jim had on my career, mental health, and life. Few people were more pleasant to work with, and his willingness to help you with your job or making you laugh were invaluable for me when I was younger and needing the professional and emotional support. I will never forget him.

Jim came into my life at a point where he made such an impact. He always asked about both my boys. Either the antics of my oldest that is a teenager now or what my youngest has done that required me to have a mom face. With Jim, I got to laugh at the Insanity that is parenting 2 boys. Jim was such silent strength to me. He could fist bump me and be asking 12 questions all at once. He taught me so much at work. He taught me parenting. He taught me laughter. He taught me to be better me. I greatly admired Jim. Rest easy, Jim. We got it from here.

Jim was one of a kind. There are few people you meet while on this earth that exude the joy and happiness of life that Jim did. Jim always had a smile on his face and always a kind word to say to someone, if he wasn't joking or playing a prank on them. It was a pleasure and honor to have crossed paths with Jim in life and he will never be forgotten. Good bye my friend.

Jim was a one-of-a-kind and I always appreciated how he looked on the bright side of life. Avery was a tiny tot while we were in chiropractic school, but it meant so much that he trusted us to care for her while he took Rhonda out. He will be remembered by all who crossed his path. Prayers for comfort to his family

My condolences to Jimmy's family and friends! I knew Jimmy's as a neighbor when he was a tween and watched him grown into adulthood and he was definitely the kindest man. I'm so sorry for your loss and may you only smile when you think of Jimmy!
