James “Jim” Melvin Bradley, age 85 of Highlandville, passed away December 21, 2022. He was born September 1, 1937, in Casa Grande, Arizona, the son of Joe H. and Ruth (Jones) Bradley.
On April 26, 1958, Jim was united in marriage to Dixie Patterson in Lordsburg, New Mexico. Jim ran a backhoe business. He graduated from Baptist Bible College in 1973 with a theology degree. He was a lay pastor at Immanuel Baptist Church in Highlandville, Missouri. Jim and wife, Dixie, along with four other families built that church. He was currently a member of Jamesville Baptist Church in Highlandville, Missouri.
Survivors include: his wife, Dixie Bradley of Highlandville; three daughters, Jymie Jo Jimmerson of Hot Springs, Arkansas, Kelly Sue Lee and husband Tony of Springfield, Missouri and Laura Kay Parks and husband H. Edward “Eddie,” Jr. of Springfield, Missouri; grandchildren; Jayson Essick, Myles Essick, Jody Braden, Cathleen Spinabella, Kristina Lorence and Crystal Campbell. Great grandchildren Marshall Essick, Aubree Rayne Essick, Logan Essick, Aiden Essick, Kaitlyn Braden, Lora Spinabella, Ashlyn Spinabella, Jackson Lorence, Tinsley Lorence Enrique "Kike" Campbell, and Haylee Downtown, and one niece, Cheri Panzer.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents; an infant brother, Larry Gene Bradley; another brother, Richard Lowell Bradley, and nephew Richard "Lee" Bradley.
