James G. Dale

James G. Dale of Nixa, MO, formerly of Wheeling, IL, passed away on August 19, 2016. Jim was born in Atchison, KS to William and Geraldine (nee Magsin) Dale on March 3, 1954. He attended Deerfield High School and Purdue University. Jim owned a Chicago Tribune news agency for many years. He was a devoted, lifetime fan of the Chicago Bears and the Chicago Cubs. Jim was a funny, smart, and loving husband, father, and brother. He fought Rheumatoid Arthritis & its complications for 25 years with strength and dignity. Jim was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Richard J. Dale; and his sisters, Nancy Ann Dale & Kathryn J. Muran. Jim is survived by his wife of 40 years, Victoria (nee Salmassy); his sons, Christopher & Alexander; his daughter, Katherine; his sister, Cynthia Dale; grandson, Orion; and granddaughters, Sarina & Grace. Jim will be laid to rest at St. Matthew Lutheran Cemetery in Lake Zurich, IL. Interment will be private.
