Iven Cooper, born on August 18, 1938, in Springfield, Missouri, passed away on September 3, 2024, at the age of 86. He was the son of Stephen F Cooper and Twila Mae Moody. After high school, Iven joined the Navy and served as a photographer, fostering a passion he carried throughout his life.
Following his military service, Iven worked at the Zenith TV factory from its opening in 1968 until its closure, dedicating over 20 years to the company. He later worked at the GE factory until its closure, after which he retired. Iven spent his retirement enjoying photography and the quiet joys of life.
Preceded in death by five brothers: James H. Cooper, Donald F. Cooper, Gary S. Cooper, Ralph Leroy Cooper, and Robert C. Cooper; and two sisters: Ruth N Dowling and Anna Mae Barclay, Iven is survived by many other nieces and nephews.
A committal service with full military honors will take place at 3:00 pm on Tuesday, September 17, 2024, at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Springfield.
