Gary Moore

Gary Dewayne Moore age 79, of Galena, passed away Thursday, February 15, 2024, a resident of Nixa Nursing and Rehab. He was born January 18, 1945, in Kennett, Missouri, the son of Oby Jewell "Jude" Moore and Carrie Mae (Carter) Moore.  

Gary met challenges head on throughout his life due to disability, but was a friend to many, who because of his loving personality, would forget his disability.  His loving parents and siblings included him on all family activities.  He enjoyed sports, especially Cardinals Baseball, fishing and bowling.  When the whole family would gather on holidays, they all played Canasta, Gary's favorite card game.  

Gary was preceded in death by: His parents, Jude and Carrie;  and siblings, Carol Coleman, Tom Moore, Joe Moore, and L.R. Moore.

Survivors include:  A sister, Jewell Lavern Smith of Galena; and many nieces, nephews, great- and great-great-nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 1:00 - 2:00 PM Monday, February 19, at Spokane First Baptist Church.  Funeral services will follow at 2:00 PM Monday, at the church, with Pastor Randy Harwood officiating.  Burial will follow in Highlandville Cemetery.  Arrangements are under the direction of Adams Funeral Home, Nixa.
