Fred Davis

Fred Davis, age 87, of Walnut Shade, passed away Wednesday, June 15, 2011. He was born February 9, 1924 in Cedar valley, Missouri, the son of Charles W. and Myrtie (Thompson) Davis. He was a builder in the residential and commercial construction industry for 50 years. He retired back to Missouri in1985, a former resident in California. Fred and his wife Ruby were married February 20, 1946. He enjoyed building and his family. Survivors include: His wife, Ruby I. Davis of 65 years; two sons, Kenny Davis and wife Dolores, Walnut Shade, MO, Dennis Davis, Ozark, MO; one brother Dale Davis and wife Lois, Western Grove, Arkansas; and two grandsons, John and Kyle. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers Arnold, Stanley, and Raymond, and a sister Helen Marie Davis. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Friday, June 17, in Adams Funeral Home, Nixa. Burial will follow in Oak Ridge Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 PM Thursday in the Funeral Home.
