Enoch John Pyle passed away July 23, 2025. He was born August 2, 1956.

If a life could be measured in the warmth of a smile, the smell of coffee in the kitchen, or the sound of music drifting through the air, then Enoch Pyle's life was not only full-it overflowed.

Born in New London, Connecticut, to Francis and Edith Pyle, Enoch was one of eleven leaves on a strong family tree that grew wide and wild with love. From those early days in a bustling home with ten siblings, he carried with him a sense of peace, joy, and resourcefulness that would shape the man he became

Enoch loved many things: a well-struck golf ball among good friends, the smell of sawdust in a home he was building with his own hands, a quiet morning with coffee in one hand and a sweet pastry in the other. But most of all, he loved his family. He was married to his beloved Karen for 49 years, and together they raised six children: Erica (and Jason) Rust, Enoch (and Darrah) Pyle, Elisha (and Jason) Johnson, Siana (and Ben) Kimathi, Amidu Pyle, and Jeneba Pyle.

To his fourteen grandchildren and great-grandchild, he was "Grampy"--a man whose pride in them was never hidden. One of his final joys was hearing a recording of his grandson, Chauncey, playing the saxophone. He wept. The music meant more than notes to Enoch-it was evidence of legacy, of beauty passed on.

He never quite learned how to pass a bakery without stopping. And no one ever complained when he came out with something warm, flaky, and sweet to share. In this small way, as in so many others, Enoch taught us how to savor life.

He was a builder--not only of houses, but of people, of memories, and of faith, Enoch loved Jesus with a sincerity that shaped his every word and action. In his final days, even the hospital staff were struck by the kindness in his eyes and the peace that followed him. That light didn't dim. It simply moved closer to his Lord.

Enoch was preceded in death by his parents, his father-in-law, three brothers, and one sister-in-law. He is survived by his wife Karen, his six children, fourteen grandchildren, one great-grandchild, and seven cherished siblings.

A memorial service will be held at Ozark Assembly of God, in Ozark, Missouri, on July 26th, 2025 at 4:00 PM.  Visitation will be from 3:00-4:00 p.m. immediately before the memorial service at the church.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you carry a bit of Enoch's compassion into the world: Iend a hand, speak with kindness, or--if the moment allows--stop for a pastry and coffee, and think of him.

Cremation rites will be accorded by Adams Crematory and arrangements are under direction of Adams Funeral Home, Ozark.
