Elizabeth Ann (Hastie) Chase, age 64 of Rogersville, passed away on May 3, 2024. She was born on November 25, 1959, in St. Louis to Edward and Betty Hastie.

Elizabeth filled her life with simple joys that brought her immense happiness. She cherished her time spent gardening, accompanying her husband Dan to estate sales, and creating beautiful memories with her beloved children and grandchildren. She found solace in the tranquility of fishing, the excitement of people watching, and the thrill of competitive bowling games. Her laughter echoed through card games and slot machines alike.

Left to honor Elizabeth's memory are her best friend and soulmate Dan, her loving children: Maria Myers (Dakota), Jennifer Blankenship (Dallas), Laura Long (Joey), James Long (Tina), Addrienne Kyle (Keaton), John Chandler (Chelsea), and Stephanie Medlock (Brian). She leaves behind a legacy in the hearts of her numerous grandchildren: Caden, Echo, Braydon, Audrey, Aunna, Andrew, Brody, Brantley, Harper, Olivia, Addaline, Paislee, Lily, Sophia, Taylor, Ben, Ember, Juniper, Lucas, Carter, and Remington. Elizabeth is also survived by her brother Dave Hastie (Dana), sister Stephanie Steidemann (Dave), and her mother Betty.

She is preceded in death by her father Edward. 

A funeral mass honoring Elizabeth's life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 9th, 2024 at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church with Fr. Timothy Tran presiding. Following the service, she will be laid to rest at Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Springfield. Visitation will take place from 10-11 a.m., just before the funeral mass at the church.

In celebrating Elizabeth's life today and always let us remember her zest for living fully and loving wholeheartedly. She will forever remain in our hearts as a beacon of light and warmth.
