Elijah Kole Johns

Elijah Kole Johns was born into this world on February 23, 2022, and gained his wings on May 20, 2022, surrounded by his mom, grandma Tonya, aunt Tarin, grandma Jill and cousin Lorie that loved him dearly.  

Elijah was a strong and precious soul who fought hard to stay with us and has touched the hearts of many people. Elijah was such a happy baby despite being so sick. He had the brightest eyes and a smile that could light up any room. Elijah loved his pacifier and enjoyed sleeping on his mommy’s chest as well as getting hugs and kisses from his big brother and big sister. Though his time on earth was only brief, Elijah was loved by everyone who met him and will be greatly missed. Elijah may have lived a short life but to those around him know that he will be forever in their hearts.  

Elijah was greeted in heaven by his brother, great grandmother Marian Matthews, great grandma Leonna Johns.  

Elijah will be watching over his mother Tyra johns; sister Eniyah; older brother Ezrah; great grandma and great grandpa Brenda and Leon Ward; Melanie and Les johns; great grandpa Roland Matthews; Grandma Tonya Johns; Papa Randy Johns; Grandma Jill Matthews; Uncle Mason Johns; Aunt Tarin Turbyeville; Aunt Taylor Gross; cousins Hayden, Kysen, Xander, and Xavier Johns; cousin Lori and husband Gregg Parks; Along with many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.  

A special thanks from the family to Mercy Pediatrics and to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital for taking care of baby Elijah and his family.

A celebration of life in honor of Elijah will be held on June 4, 2022, 1:00 p.m. ~ 2:00 p.m. at Adams Funeral Home Nixa followed by a balloon release at the Nixa Park from 2:00 p.m. ~ 3:00 p.m.
