E. Elaine Dunn

E. Elaine Dunn, age 84 of Ozark, passed away Friday, February 17, 2023.  She was born February 27, 1938 in Springfield, the daughter of Walter Eldred and Edith Willamena (Outcalt) Lenhard.  As a youngster, Elaine helped her father on the farm and milking cows.   

Her faith was most important in Elaine’s life. She was a faithful member of Life 360 Church, and had previously been active in Ozark Assembly of God Church.   

Elaine was a Registered Nurse and received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing Degree. She was proud of grandchildren that followed her in the medical profession.   

Survivors include:  Her husband HF Dunn; children, Brad Williams and wife Ann of Fargo, North Dakota, and Rhonda Vickers of Cape Coral, Florida; step-daughter, Brenda Rees of Nixa; grandchildren, Phil Williams, Titus Williams, Stephanie Thorne, Jennifer Williams, Josh Williams, Gabriel Purscell, and Brittany Purscell; step-grandchildren Athena Rees, Jason Snider, Kasey Burt and Kristin Baggett; great-grandchildren, Jacob, Jamie and Josh Purscell, Brady, Noah, Elise, Judah, Thida and Tisha Williams, Jay Thorne, Ty Bohrer, Brody Berry, Devin and Jaxon McAlester, Mattie Lynn McNearney, Blake, Paige and Molly Williams; step-great-grandchildren, Annaleigh Baggett, Owen Burt, Berkley Burt, Nicholas Snider, Isaac Rees and Samuel Rees; nieces and nephews. Elaine also cherished the Thomas family as her own, Dr. Thomas Thomas, Cynthia Hadfield, and their children, Arianna and Eli. 

Elaine was preceded in death by; A son, Rodney Williams, step-son, Kelly Dunn, step-grandson, Kody Dunn, son-in-law Darryl Vickers; step-son-in-law, Carlos Rees; her parents Walter and Edith; step-mother, Violetta Wilson; step-father, Gil Turner; step-brother, Lanford Wilson; sister, Judy Wright; and great-grandchild, Luke McAlester. 

Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 21, in Adams Funeral Home, Ozark, with Pastor Richard Orrell officiating.  Burial will follow in Selmore Cemetery.   

Visitation will be from 5:00 – 7:00 PM Monday, February 20, in the funeral home. 

Memorial donations may be made to Ozark High School Alumni Scholarship Fund.
