Dorothy Jane Hluzek

Dorothy Jane Hluzek, age 88 of Nixa, passed away Wednesday, November 10, 2021. She was born March 29, 1933 in Venice, Illinois, the daughter of the late Frank and Nora (Gowins) Seyle. Dorothy Seyle was united in marriage to Albert Hluzek on December 28, 1950. Together they had seven children. She was a homemaker and being a mother was her greatest joy until she became a grandma. Dorothy loved and adored each of her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She will truly be missed by all. Dorothy was a faithful member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church. Survivors include her children, Debra Terry, Carol Bretanha, Roger Hluzek and wife Sherry, Pamela von Hagen and husband Luke, Linda Whiteman and husband Darryl, Jean Hluzek, and Christopher Hluzek and wife Lorraine; fifteen grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren. Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, five sisters, and beloved husband Albert Hluzek. Funeral services have been scheduled for 1:00 p.m. Monday, November 15, 2021 at Aldersgate United Methodist Church, Nixa. Family will receive friends during a time of visitation starting at11:30 am until service time. Dorothy will be laid to rest at 10:45 am Tuesday, November 16, 2021 next to Albert in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Adams Funeral Home – Nixa.
