Debra Swearengin Essary

September 19, 1956 — August 7, 2023

Debbie Swearengin Essary met Jesus face to face on August 7, 2023, at Cox South Hospital in Springfield. She was born September 19, 1956.

Debbie is survived by her daughters Kellie Storm and husband Shannon Storm of Rogers, AR, and Farrah Harlow and Matt Mills of Rogersville, her parents,  Bill and Faye Swearengin of Ozark, and her siblings Cheryll Eoff and husband Steve of Nixa, Bud Swearengin of Ozark and Sharon Robertson and husband Leonard of Ozark.  She is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren (with one on the way), and aunts, uncles, cousins and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and extended family who loved and adored her.

She graduated from Spokane High School in 1974 and entered the workforce shortly thereafter.  She was always eager to learn new things and worked in many fields, with the most recent being running the office of D&E Plumbing, her brother-in-law's company.  The employees liked her and teased her often and she took it all in stride.

Debbie loved supporting her grandkids.  She would go to every football, soccer, baseball, and T-ball game!  She attended graduations, weddings, and birthdays, celebrating every achievement with pictures and cards.  Each one was special to her and she loved them all.

She enjoyed traveling with her sister Cheryll and they had many adventures together.  She got to see Alaska, Las Vegas, Lake Tahoe, and Maui, but the biggest trip was to be in October to Italy and Greece.   We trust that God is showing them to her now.

She loved the group Mercy Me and enjoyed attending their concerts with her friend Julie.  They would take road trips and sing the praises of God with the music blaring!

Debbie accepted Jesus as her Savior at an early age and prayed for all of us often, but mostly for her children and grandchildren.  If you ever asked Debbie to pray, you could mark it down she was doing just that.  It was her desire that we all know the Lord.

Debbie was a loving soul who gave so much and expected nothing in return.  She is so loved and will be sorely missed.  We love you, Debbie.
