Worked with Daylon for a few years at Highlandville Elementary. He was a great guy and a great teacher. Everyone loved him and his gentle loving nature. My fondest memory was the skating parties that the HES had uptown. He loved to roller skate and the kids loved to have him out on the rink with them. He was not a kid at that time . I'm guessing close to 60 and the old man could skate. Very athletic and smooth out on roller skates. I will miss him and the kids who had him in class will have learned a lot from Mr. Troutt.
