David Roy Todd

May 12, 1946 — December 30, 2025

With love and gratitude, we remember David Roy Todd, a remarkable man whose kindness, creativity, and love for his family left an enduring mark on all who knew him.

A true innovator, engineer, and artisan, David possessed an extraordinary creative mind and a passion for bringing ideas to life. Professionally, David spent his career at Litton as a tooling engineer, where his inventive mind and innovative designs earned him recognition and awards, accomplishments he was proud of, though he spoke far more often of his family than of his achievements. His hands were rarely idle, constantly engaged in the intricate world of machinery, the tactile beauty of wood carving and art, and the expressive medium of art. He found immense joy and satisfaction in these pursuits, crafting not just objects, but reflections of his ingenious spirit and keen eye.

David Roy Todd was a man whose life was defined not only by what he created with his hands, but by the love he so freely gave to those around him.

In service to others, David also devoted himself to ministry work, participating in van ministry and serving as a deacon with the Assembly of God at Calvary Temple Church in Springfield, MO, where his love for the Lord guided his life and his service.

In 2011, after fifteen years together, David married his wife and life partner, Dalene, in an intimate beach ceremony in the U.S. Virgin Islands, a place that held deep meaning for them both and became a cherished part of their shared life together. Their marriage blended their families, bringing together cherished relationships that David embraced wholeheartedly and loved deeply. Hearing the voices of his loved ones brought him a happiness that never faded, and time spent together was what he valued most. He never met a stranger, and his warmth, kindness, and infectious laugh had a way of making everyone feel instantly at ease. Known for his quick wit and playful sense of humor, David loved making people laugh and could always be counted on to lighten the moment with a well-timed humor. Those relationships became the foundation of the family he cherished and the legacy of love he leaves behind.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Dalene Anderson Todd; his daughters, DeAnna Clarke, Carla Andrews, and Becky Garnett, and her husband Jason; along with his stepchildren, Alicia Oetting and her husband Vernon, Jana Blake and her husband Chad, Zackery Cole and his wife Angie, and Kara Williams and her fiancé Kyle.

David was a devoted grandfather to Taylor Andrews, Dalton Blandford, Drew Andrews, McKayla Clarke, Riley Blandford, Cameron Oetting, Brooklyn Oetting, Tyler Cole, and Trevor Cole, and a loving great-grandfather to Cove Anson, River Anson, and Ocean Andrews. Their lives stand as a testament to the love and values he instilled.

David was preceded in death by his parents, Roy Ernest and Nora Grace (Smith) Todd; siblings, Jim Todd, Ronald Todd, Rosemary Spence, Mildred Lynch, Doris Brownsberger and Billy Gene Todd.

David Roy Todd leaves behind a legacy of love, creativity, and unwavering devotion to his family. He will be deeply missed, but his spirit will forever live on in the hearts of those he loved and inspired.

Funeral Arrangements are under the direction of Adams Funeral Home, Ozark, and cremation rites will be accorder by Adams Crematory.
