David D. Sparkman

David Sparkman, age 69, passed away on May 26, 2024 at Mercy Hospital in Springfield, MO from injuries related to a farming accident.

Son of Junior and Betty Sparkman, David was born on May 23, 1955. He grew up in Nixa, MO where he graduated high school in 1973. He was united in marriage to Diana Sparkman on September 14, 1974. David worked for 37 years at Fleischmann’s Vinegar Company as a truck driver. He was a dedicated husband and father, who worked diligently to give his family a much better life than he had growing up. After retirement, David enjoyed spending time at his farm in Clever, MO as well as attending Nixa High School basketball games. He loved watching his older grandsons play lacrosse and the younger grandsons play football, basketball and baseball. David loved spending time with his family and friends, and he knew few strangers. He was a member of the Riverdale Baptist Church in Nixa, MO.

David is preceded in death by his father, stepfather and mother. David is survived by the love of his life Diana Sparkman; his beloved children Ashley Miller and her husband Doug Miller of Republic, MO; Landon Sparkman and his wife Whitney Sparkman of Sparta, MO; seven grandchildren Brandon Miller, Joshua Miller, Camron Miller, Troy Sparkman, Jayce Sparkman, Shane Sparkman, Natalee Sparkman; two great grandchildren Wynnie Miller and Salem Miller; his brother Dennis Sparkman, as well as a host of cousins.

A visitation will be held at Adams Funeral Home in Nixa, MO on Tuesday, June 4, 2024 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM with a graveside service to follow at Flood Cemetery in Highlandville, MO.
