David Leon Little went home to be with the Lord on June 19, 2025, at age 65. David was the son of Dean and Katie Little and was born April 3, 1960. David was married to the love of his life, Cindy, on October 16, 1998.
David loved to hunt, fish, camp, woodwork, spend time with his family, and tell stories about “how the old timers used to do things”. David loved to help others, he was always willing to do most anything that was asked of him, especially for his family, friends and church. David was a member of Spokane First Baptist Church for 26 years; he served as a Sunday School Teacher and Trustee during the majority of that time.
David had a great sense of humor and liked to use his own sayings when it came to commenting on a meal, some of our favorites were “those were some good viddles”, “that was larapin”, “it’ll fill an empty hole”, “done or raw it’ll do the chaw” or “we are eating high on the hog tonight!” His closest fisherman friends collected a variety of sayings that were common for him for the WWDS club (What Would Dave Say) to include: “mites a mighty small critter”, “fair to midlend”, “you’re lettin’ it sink too long”, “you’re casting behind the boat”, “you’re reeling too slow”, “all we lack is finishin’”, “hand me my pillar” & “remember boys, you got to keep your expectations low”. David was lovingly referred to as King by this special group.
David was preceded in death by his dad, Dean Little, his in-laws Richard & Sharlene McKee & Janet & Joe Weiler. David is survived by his wife, Cindy Little, and their 5 children: daughter Holly Goulbourne & husband JJ, son Joshua Little, daughter Sarah Carter & husband Jason; son Chase Winslow; & son Eric Lucero. David also is survived by his mom, Katie Little, his sister Renee Krol & husband Dave, as well as many grandchildren, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, & a host of extended family & friends.
David will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved him, but we rejoice knowing that we will see him again one day and that he is reunited with many friends and loved ones who have gone before him.
