My grandpa was one of the best men I've ever met. He truly was an amazing man in so many ways. Him and my grandma were like second parents to us. I have so many amazing memories with him. I remember the little things like picking green beans with him and then cleaning them together, making him string hats out on the patio when I was about 4, his "world famous grilled cheese as he called them, and all his corny jokes that could put a smile on anyone's face. To the big things like him being there for the birth of my oldest daughter and my wedding day. I'm thankful to of gotten almost 26 years with this man. You are loved beyond words grandpa.

I have two favorite memories of Dad from childhood. When I was a toddler, he bought a telescope and took me out into the yard after dark to look at the stars. It was a simple gesture that impacted my view of the world for life. He was also an amateur carpenter. When he had his saw going, there I'd be. It was my job to blow away the saw dust from his cut lines. I've spent much of my adult life working in and around real estate and home building. Once again, a simple gesture had a lasting impact on my life. That was Dad. Simple. Quiet. Smart. Always there. Rest well, Dad.
