Darrel E. Becker

Darrel Eugene Becker, 85, of Nixa, Missouri, passed away on September 10, 2025. He was born on August 30, 1940, to Abe and Velma Becker.

Darrel graduated from Buhler High School in Buhler, Kansas, where he enjoyed playing football and working on vehicles. He worked as a Pizza Hut Manager and later retired after 28 years as the Dillons Deli Manager.

On July 22, 1962, Darrel married Sherril (Vincent) Becker. He completely and utterly adored his devoted wife and caring companion. During their 63 years together, the couple enjoyed motorcycle trips to every continental state in the U.S. and Canada. In 1987, they made their home in Nixa.

Darrel was an avid bowler, earning many individual and team trophies. Darrel was knowledgeable of history, enjoyed gardening (especially growing the best tomatoes), and spent many hours in his shop working on projects. He loved sports and especially enjoyed watching his niece, nephew, and great-nephews play. Known as a people person, Darrel will be remembered for his joyful spirit, generosity, and wonderful smile.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Stanley and Bruce Becker; sister, Ruth Jones; and nephews, Andy Becker and Brian Snyder.

Darrel is survived by his loving wife, Sherril Becker; brother, David (Cindy) Becker of Nixa; brother-in-law, Bud Jones of Kansas; and many beloved nieces and nephews including Jenny (Cody) Braden of Ozark; Joleen, Laura Swisher, and Glenn Snyder, Jr of Kansas; Rhonda (Brian) Miller of Kansas; Staci (Chris) Wade of Florida; and Darren (Marta) Vincent of Florida. He is also survived by great-nephews Parker and Levi Braden of Ozark, along with many other family members and friends.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, September 16, 2025, from 5:00–7:00 p.m. at Adams Funeral Home, Ozark.

A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 17, 2025, at Adams Funeral Home, Ozark with Chaplain Mike Edwards officiating. Burial follow at Weaver Cemetery, Ozark.
