Darlene Blackmore

Darlene Yvonne Blackmore, age 84, of Lamar, Missouri, passed away peacefully at her home on July 11, 2025, surrounded by the comfort of her sister and loving companion, Bonnie Blackmore.

Darlene was born on August 4, 1940, in Lamar, Missouri, to Walter and Lucile Blackmore. She dedicated her life to education, teaching in California for 36 years and touching the lives of countless students with her patience, kindness, and commitment to learning.

In retirement, Darlene returned to her roots in Missouri, where she enjoyed a quiet life with her sister. She will be remembered for her gentle spirit, thoughtful nature, and the many lives she enriched over the years.

A private burial of ashes will take place at a later date.

Cremation rites were accorded by Adams Crematory and arrangements are under the direction of Adams Funeral Home, Nixa, Missouri.
