Danny Joe Poindexter

Danny Joe Poindexter, age 63 of Sparta, passed away Tuesday, May 4, 2021. He was born April 29, 1958 in Springfield, the son of Ritz and Terry (Owens) Poindexter. On September 27, 1985 Danny was united in marriage to Carol Phillips. Danny enjoyed fishing, golfing and camping with his kids and grandkids. Survivors include: his wife, Carol Poindexter of Sparta; his children, Bethany Phillips and husband Nathan of Clever and Scott Poindexter of Republic; grandchildren, Koberly and Logan Peters of Clever; his sister, Peggy Wilcox of Springfield; and two brothers, Randy Poindexter and wife Cindy of New Braunfels, Texas and Gary Poindexter of St. Joe, Missouri; his mother in law, Dorothy Phillips of Bruner; his brother in law Mike Phillips and wife Gina of Clever; and many nieces and nephews. Danny was preceded in death by his parents. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, May 8, 2021 at Temple Hill Cemetery, Bruner, under direction of Adams Funeral Home, Ozark, with Reverend Bally Johnson officiating.
