Big D...a loyal friend and confidant. My fondest impression of him...His Cowboy Hat, proudly wearing a KC shirt and his Chief's apron - while working at our KC Council Fish Fries...Dan was there when someone was of need for help or advise. He was an example of the KCs motto..."Leave No Neighbor Behind." He was there to help his neighbor, without knowing the cost. A convert...I was impressed by his devotion to his faith and drive to serve our parish. He expressed his desire to me, to become a 4th Degree Knight but the opportunity eluded him. He was willing and ready to serve the Council as an officer. I dearly miss his Smile, his stories and the friendly "teasing". CARL SCHIMEK
