Chris Gerhard

Chris Gerhard passed away peacefully on June 9, 2025, at the age of 73.

Born in Washington D.C., Chris was a lifelong enthusiast of golf. Whether he was playing a round himself or dedicated to teaching the local kids through First Tee, the golf course was a place he truly loved. He had an impressive and astounding knowledge of classic movies and music, which he greatly enjoyed. Chris was a loving father, grandfather, brother, and friend to many.

He is survived by his children: Paul Gerhard and wife Stephanie, Rebecca Kriesel and husband Joshua, Maggie Gerhard and husband Chris, Leslie Champion and their mother Rose Wilson. Chris was a proud grandfather to eight grandchildren: Gavin Gerhard, Isaac Gerhard, Bennett Gerhard, Claire Gerhard, Brynnley Kriesel, Lincoln Kriesel, Aria Kriesel, and Noah Kennedy. He also leaves behind his sister, Kehaulani Gerhard, and a longtime partner, Joy Franklin.

Chris was preceded in death by his parents, Lt. Col. Paul C. Gerhard and Katherine Gerhard.

Cremation rites will be accorded by Adams Funeral Home in Ozark, Missouri.
