Cherilyn “Cher” Lile, 52 of Springfield, passed away peacefully on May 10, 2026 after a long and courageous battle with Cancer. Born on October 20, 1973 in Springfield Mo, Cher was the beloved daughter of William and Vera Gold.

Cher Lived life loudly, lovingly and unapologetically. She was the kind of person who could light up any room with her laugh, make a lifelong friend out of a complete stranger and leave people feeling happier simply because they had crossed her path. Wild at heart and full of life, Cher embraced every moment with energy, humor and compassion.

One of Cher's greatest joys began early in life, playing softball with her mom. What started as a childhood pastime became a lifelong bond and tradition the two continued to share well into adulthood, even coaching her children's sports teams. As a young adult, Cher was saved and Baptized, coming to know the Lord, our maker, a faith she carried with her throughout her life.

In 1996, Cher married John Lile and together they built a life filled with laughter and two beautiful children, Colton and Josie, who were the pride and joy of her life. Being a mom was Cher's greatest accomplishment and she poured her whole heart into her children. Some of her happiest moments were simple ones- cuddling up watching movies with Colton, Josie and her dog Frankie, or cleaning the house while singing and dancing.

In her professional life, she worked hard, loved fiercely and lived fully. She deeply cherished her work family and customers who were a big part of her life and made her days at work enjoyable.

She leaves behind a family and circle of friends who carry her spirit with them always: her son Colton Lile; her daughter Josie (Hunter) Lile; her mother Vera Gold; her niece Logan Beckham; her ex-husband and lifelong friend, John Lile; her best friends Cathy and Jennifer; and countless extended family members and dear friends whose lives were made brighter by knowing her.

Cher was preceded in death by her father. William Gold; her brother Willie Gold; and her grandparents Arvel and Ruby Blevins.

Though her time here feels far too short, Cher's love, laughter, and unforgettable spirit will live on in every song sung too loudly, every scary movie watched, every softball game played, and every memory shared by those lucky enough to love her. Her strength through illness was a reflection of the same determination and fire that defined her entire life.

A private gathering will take place at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Adams Funeral home, Nixa, and cremation rites will be accorded by Adams Crematory.
