Charles Ray Weaver

July 30, 1942 — October 19, 2022

On October 19th, 2022 Charles Ray Weaver died at the age of 80.
 
Charles is survived by his wife Linda Weaver; daughter Dianne Matthews and husband Bodie Matthews; daughter Denise Burk and Husband Craig Burk; grandchildren Brittany Matthews, Ciara Clayton and Husband Austin Clayton; Hunter Matthews and wife Allison Matthews, and Gavin Burk; great grandchildren Emma Clayton, Jessie Clayton and Jolene Clayton. He was preceded in death by his mother Ellen Weaver and brothers Jerry and Jimmy Weaver.
 
Charles was born on July 30, 1942 in Wichita, KS, the son of Charles and Ellen (Huey) Weaver. He graduated from West High, Wichita in 1960 and married his wife Linda before serving 4 years in the Air Force. After living in the Kansas area until 1973, Charles and family made their home in Ozark, MO and he went on to earn a college degree in Agriculture and Computer Science at Missouri State University. Charles ran a veterinarian business at the Ozark Mill prior to becoming the systems manager for Green County Court Systems until retirement.
 
After retirement Charles and Linda were active regulars at the Ozark Senior Center and Charles was a board member as well as a board member for Senior Age in Springfield, MO.
 
Charles had a passion to help the elder community and continued to do so after having to be placed in Ozark Riverview Manor. He made instant friendships and looked after residents around him in any way he could. The residents and staff became his second family and he enjoyed his time sitting in the garden and all the various activities they provide for their residents.
 
At Charles request. cremation rites will be accorded by Adams Crematory and arrangements are under direction of Adams Funeral Home, Ozark. A private family service will be held. 
 
Memorial donations can be made in honor of him to the Ozark Senior Center.
