Charlene Raines, age 89, of Nixa, Missouri, passed away on July 14, 2026. She was born on November 7, 1936, in Nixa to Charles and Verenece (Landers) White.
A lifelong resident of Nixa, Charlene graduated from Nixa High School with the Class of 1956. She dedicated part of her career to educating children as a teacher in the Nixa Public Schools, where she was respected for her commitment to her students.
Charlene had a deep love for the land and spent many years working cattle on her farm in Highlandville, Missouri. She was also an accomplished horsewoman with a keen eye for exceptional horses, buying and selling some of the finest horses throughout the years.
Known for her extraordinary generosity, Charlene quietly helped countless people throughout her life. She gave freely to charities, assisted those in need, and was known to give away homes to individuals and families who needed a fresh start. Her giving spirit touched many lives.
Charlene was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robert Raines; her daughter, Janine Worland; and her parents, Charles and Verenece White.
She is lovingly survived by her grandson, Blake Worland, as well as a host of cherished friends.
Charlene will be remembered for her generous heart, strong work ethic, love of farming and horses, and the many lives she blessed through her quiet acts of kindness.
A Graveside Service for Charlene will be 10:00 a.m., Monday, July 20, 2026, at Selmore Cemetery, Ozark, Missouri.
