Carol Olive Ables

Carol Olive (Holgate) Ables, age 88 of Monett, Missouri, formerly of Ceres, California, passed away June 8, 2021. She was born January 9, 1933 in Turlock, California, the daughter of Howard and Vera (Bianchini) Holgate. Survivors include: her sons, Donald (Gary) Sexton and wife Sandra of Monett and Thomas Sexton of Modesto, California; stepchildren, Jim and Elizabeth Ables; grandchildren, Chris Sexton, Randi Casey, Jennifer Robinson, Cody Sexton, Sara Amerson, Erin Coley, and Howard Mitchell; many great grandchildren; and a sister, Barbara Branch of Turlock, California. Carol was preceded in death by her husband, John Ables and her daughter, Marilyn Willey. Carol worked for Louis Rich company for 35 years. She was a woman who loved her children greatly. Carol was a dedicated wife and mother. Her dog, Maggie was her best friend and constant companion after her husband John passed away. Carol was a woman who loved God and her family. She truly was a unique woman whose children loved her dearly. Carol also had a special relationship with her niece, Phyllis Libby. She will be interred in Turlock, California at Turlock Memorial Park on October 2, 2021. There will be a celebration of life gathering at Phyllis Libby’s home at 1:00 PM on October 2. Cremation was under the direction of Adams Funeral Home, Nixa.
