Brenda Jo (Myers) Pyle, 66, walked into the arms of her Savior July 3, 2025. Brenda's life modeled quiet humility deeply rooted in faith. Born on December 9, 1958, to Fred and Margaret Myers, her early years were spent in Ohio followed by a move to Ozark, MO before marrying Sam and building a family home in Sparta, MO. This family home, a small architectural slice of heaven, filled with Brenda's favorite things, is where they raised their boys and spent countless joy-filled hours with each other, their boys and spouses -- and especially grandchildren!
Brenda met Sam at Ozark High School in art class. The more they talked, the more they realized they belonged together. After one nervous phone call asking her to dinner at Shotgun Sams, they knew they had something special. They married on July 8, 1978. This year marks their 47th anniversary. 47 years filled with the truest riches life has to offer: Faith, Love and Joy. In 1982, their first son, Jeremiah, was born followed shortly by Joshua in 1984 and Mike in 1985.
Brenda spent many years creating a warm home to raise the boys. She volunteered in school and enjoyed watching the boys play sports and compete. For 25 years, Brenda also helped build Bradford Inn by serving at the front desk check-in. She greeted guests, checked them in and took care of many needs in the office. She was beloved by guests and vendors as she did her job with excellence. Trips to Colorado with the family were an all-time favorite highlight for Brenda. Being in nature was natural to her and she enjoyed taking hikes and doing yardwork, as she was able. Having time with her grandchildren was especially a treat. Whether doing arts and crafts with her granddaughters or building marble tracks with her grandsons and playing trucks, she looked forward to it. Time with them was time well-spent! Among her many talents was knitting. She spent countless hours creating one-of-a-kind gifts for others. Her specialty was tiny sweaters, booties and baby blankets to welcome newborn family members or to donate to hospitals and charities. Brenda was generous to others with her time and talents.
Though Brenda battled illness for years in the form of Leukemia, the diagnoses only served to strengthen her faith as she received Divine intervention on more than one occasion. Her faith was strengthened by the adversity of the illness. Time is the gift, and Brenda used it to the fullest. Romans 12:12, "Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer".
Survivors include husband, Sam, Sparta; three sons and their spouses: Jeremiah (Meredith) Lawrence, KS; Joshua (Shweta) San Rafael, CA; Mike (Bailey) Nixa, MO. Four grandchildren, Nathaniel, Benjamin, Kennedy and Harper; two sisters, Diane Courtney (Dan) Springfield, MO and Peggy Ingram (Paul) Colorado Springs, CO, along with a host of family who loved her.
