Brad Leroy Drake, of Highlandville, Missouri, passed away on June 24, 2025, at the age of 67. He was born on December 16, 1957, to Nelson and Nadine Drake.
Brad was united in marriage to the love of his life, Pam, on May 22, 1995, in Miami, Oklahoma. Together, they built a life rooted in faith, family, and hard work.
From an early age, Brad knew the value of dedication and service. As a boy, he worked alongside his father, traveling cross-country in a dump truck and helping run the family-owned gas station. That work ethic and servant’s heart followed him throughout his life. Brad was the kind of man who always put others before himself—quietly, faithfully, and without expecting anything in return.
He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather who loved his family fiercely and supported them in every way. His grandkids held a special place in his heart, and he was always present with a smile, a kind word, or a helping hand.
Brad’s love for God was evident in everything he did. He served as a praise and worship leader at several local Assembly of God churches, where his voice and spirit lifted others and brought peace to many. His faith was the foundation of his life and the compass that guided his generous and compassionate soul.
A hardworking entrepreneur, Brad was the proud owner of a successful heating and air business for 30 years. He also poured his heart into Drake’s Crossroads Restaurant in Highlandville, where his love for people and community could be felt in every meal served. He had a love for bringing Christmas to so many families while he had the restaurant.
Brad leaves behind a legacy of loyalty, kindness, and love. He will be deeply missed by all who had the honor of knowing him.
Brad is survived by his wife, Pam Drake; five sons, Alexander (Amanda) Drake, Jeremy Drake, Christopher (Jennifer) Strader, Jeramiah (Nicole) Strader, Keiron (Claire) Drake; one daughter, Alicia Strader; two brothers, Ronnie (Roberta) Drake, Gary Drake; one sister, Barbara (Danny) Dunn; 23 grandchildren and one greatgrandchild.
Brad is preceded in death by his parents; and one sister, Sharon Drake.
