Beverly Ann Marquez

Beverly Ann (Goodspeed) Marquez, 82, of Springfield, Missouri, passed away Monday, October 13, 2025, at Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Missouri. She was born April 22, 1943, in Worcester, Massachusetts, to Everett Hammond Goodspeed and Gertrude Ann (Fleming) Goodspeed. 

She was united in marriage on April 21, 1976, to Aurelio "Mark" Marquez, in Salinas, California, where they resided until 1981, when they relocated to Yuba City, California. After retirement they moved to Colorada, and Arizona, before settling in at Nixa, Missouri. 

Beverly held several different positions during her career as a Hotel Clerk, Office Assistant, and even started her own Tax Accounting Business before retirement. 

She was preceded in death by both of her parents and husband Mark. Survivors include daughter Melody Conner and husband William, Nixa, Missouri, daughter Wendy Lockhart and husband Stephen, Yuba City, California, son Jeffery Marquez and wife Gretchen, Castle Rock, Colorado. Several grandchildren, great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews, along with other family members who will all miss her greatly.

 In lieu of flowers, family request contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society. 

A private committal service will be held at Missouri Veterans Cemetery, Springfield, Missouri with Pastor Gary Longnecker officiating. 

Arrangements are under the direction of Adams Funeral Home, Nixa and cremation rites will be accorded by Adams Crematory.
