Benjamin Thomas Caffee

August 1, 1964 — April 15, 2025

Nixa, Missouri

Benjamin Thomas Caffee was born in Fairfield, California on August 1, 1964, to Kathleen Doyle Caffee and Shelby Walker Caffee. Ben had two younger siblings, Franklin and Rose Caffee. The three of them had a close relationship.

Ben was a vivacious person, in spite of being born with one kidney, (discovered years later) and having diabetes...in and out of hospitals, and having many surgeries, too many to mention.

Ben had such a great love for music that one time he was caught calling Julie Andrew, a call that went from California to New York City, only to be discovered once the telephone bill came to the house.  He loved all things Christmas and played Christmas music all year round.

Ben moved to Nixa, Missouri from California with his aunt Patricia Doyle-Emo, his uncle Michael Doyle, and his cousin Eric Emo in November 2018. Ben enjoyed our home, his dog, and his new friends at Restoring Hope. He especially enjoyed riding the bus to his program, singing with Jerry, the bus driver, and checking out the new construction in Nixa.

After a surgery that he had about a year ago, Ben became weaker and had to be moved to the James River Convalescent Home.  There he met more new friends and became the center cause of a lot of laughter.  Ben was very fond of St. Francis Assisi Catholic Church in Nixa, Missouri.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of James River Convalescent Home, Jerry, Restoring Hope, C.C. Links, and everyone else who was so helpful and kind to Ben.

Benjamin is survived by Frank and Rose Caffee, Patricia, Eric and Gene Emo.

Arrangements are under direction of Adams Funeral Home, Nixa, Missouri, and cremation rites will be accorded by Adams Crematory.
