Barbara J. Doran

December 6, 1947 — August 6, 2022

             Barbara J. (Frye) Doran, age 74 of Ozark, died August 6, 2022.  She was born December 6, 1947 in Springfield, the daughter of Mark and Ailene Frye and sister of Marlene Crosby.

            Barbara graduated from Ash Grove High School.  She had worked for the Division of Employment Security in Branson, where she met her husband Larry who worked there as well. On June 26, 1987 Barbara was united in marriage to Larry Doran. Barbara and Larry enjoyed Branson shows. They also worked election polls together.  Barbara was an Elvis Presley fan and was especially fond of attending Elvis Presley tribute shows. Barbara was a member of Elm Grove United Methodist Church in Rogersville.  

Survivors include her husband of the past 35 years, Larry Doran of Ozark; a daughter, Angie Cheney of Rogersville; three grandchildren, Tristan, Hunter and Meghan; three stepchildren, Lori Christensen, Larry Doran and Lee Doran and wife Lisa; and a host of step-grandchildren and step great grandchildren.

            Barbara was preceded in death by her parents.

            A funeral service will be held at noon on Wednesday, August 10, 2022 at Adams Funeral Home, Ozark. Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. until noon immediately before the funeral at the funeral home with Pastor Kevin Parnell officiating. Burial will be at a later date at Richwood Cemetery. 

            In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Elm Grove United Methodist Church, PO Box 295, Rogersville, MO 65742.
