It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our precious Ashley on November 12, 2021.
Ashley Danielle Cook was born on March 8, 1980, in Denver Colorado to Patrick and Barbara (Stephens) Cook.
Ashley took great pride in her years of service in the United States Navy, where her primary specialties were E-6 Aviation Mechanical and Electrical Technician and Instrument Systems. In her eleven years of service, she received seven Navy Achievement Medals, three Navy Good Conduct Medals, a Global War on Terrorism Expedition Medal, a Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Military Outstanding Volunteer Service Medals. Her acknowledgements of excellence were many. She had numerous deployments throughout the United States as well as Kuwait.
Ashley had many passions, some of which were playing soccer, her love of music, film history, theater, writing short stories and reading. Ashley had a great love for animals and dearly loved caring for her dog, Honey. Her nieces and nephews were her pride and joy. Her love for her family was the upmost importance. Ashley was her family’s biggest cheerleader.
She is survived by her parents, Patrick and Barbara Cook, brother Jamin Cook and wife Crystal, sister Breanne Schlosser and husband Joshua, her nieces and nephews that she adored; Chloe Moore and husband Isaac, Jett Cook, Kai Cook, Makayla Schlosser, Brendan Schlosser, and one grandnephew, Quincy Moore.
She will forever be cherished and remembered by her family and friends.
Military Honor service will be held at 9:15 a.m. on Tuesday, November 23, 2021, at Fort Logan National Cemetery in Denver, Colorado.
A Celebration of Life will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 23, 2021, at the Denver Fire Fighters Union Hall, located at 12 Lakeside Ln, Lakeside Colorado.
If desired, in lieu of flowers, donations may be given to the Gary Sinise Foundation, honoring our Defenders, Veterans, First Responders, and their families.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of Adams Funeral Home – Nixa.
