Rtd. Group Captain Anthony Chinedum Oriaku peacefully passed away on February 19, 2026, at his daughter’s home in Ozark, Missouri, in the presence of his beloved wife and daughter.

He had been undergoing dialysis and was showing encouraging signs of recovery. His passing, though peaceful, came as a painful and unexpected loss to all who knew and loved him.

Group Captain Oriaku served his country with honor, discipline, and integrity. Throughout his distinguished career in the Nigerian Airforce, he exemplified leadership, courage, and a deep commitment to duty. He carried those same values into his life beyond service, remaining a steady presence and guiding force within his family and community.

Above all, he was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He is survived by his loving wife, six children, seven grandchildren, his twin sister, two brothers, four sisters. His family was his pride and greatest accomplishment, and he poured into them wisdom, strength, and unwavering support. He will be remembered for his resilience, thoughtful counsel, humor, and the deep love he had for those entrusted to his care.

His legacy of service, faith, and family devotion will continue to live on through the lives he touched.

A private visitation was held at Adams Funeral Home, Ozark. 

Mr. Oriaku will be laid to rest in Nigeria, with arrangements by Adams Funeral Home, Ozark and Nigerian Airforce.
