Alice Helen Blankenship

Alice Helen (Williams) Blankenship was born July 13, 1934 in Elmendorf, Texas, to Orville Charles and Mada Clementine (Hayworth) Williams. Alice passed away on July 25, 2025 at Springfield Villa.

Shortly after her birth Alice’s family moved to Webster County and lived on the family farm north of Seymour. Seymour was always home to her and where her heart resided. Alice accepted Jesus as her Savior and was a member of Marshfield First Baptist Church.

Alice worked at and owned several businesses in the Seymour area over the years and was a talented florist who loved to garden and raise flowers. After her retirement, she found enjoyment working with the students at OACAC Marshfield Head Start. The job she loved most was being a wife, mother, and especially being a grandmother, great-grandmother, and aunt.

Alice was preceded in death by her parents, brother Calvin Williams, sister Betty Williams Pool, brothers-in-law Russell Pool and Bob Crawford, and the father of her daughters, Cecil Blankenship.

Alice is survived by her daughters: Cathy Laird and husband, Terry; Kaye Higginbotham and husband, Ed; Lucinda Estes and husband, Joe; grandchildren Amber, Charles, Sarah, Hayley, and Chelsea; great-grandchildren Noah, Jonathan, Olivia, Arlo, Dilerah, Atley, Owen, Alice Aries, and Benjamin; sister Met Crawford; and brother, Alba Williams and wife, Ruth. She is also survived by three very special ladies in her life, Sarah Smith Holmes, Melissa Smith Mott, and Pam McClellan Collins; nieces, nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends.

A memorial service will be held Thursday, July 31, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at Adams Funeral Home, Nixa, Missouri, with a visitation one hour prior from 1:00 to 2:00 pm. 

Private interment will be in Seymour Masonic Cemetery, Seymour, Missouri.

Cremation rites will be accorded by Adams Crematory and arrangements are under direction of Adams Funeral Home, Nixa.
