Alexis "Alex" Lessig

Alexis Lessig, age 87 of Nixa, died September 6, 2023. He was born December 3, 1935 in Poland, the son of Michael and Maria Lessig.

Alex was united in marriage to Eleanor Marie Mongus.

Eleanor preceded Alex in death on July 30, 2011.

Alex enjoyed lunch at the Nixa Senior Center daily. He was always on the go. Alex especially liked finding deals at Aldi's. Alex was a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Orthodox Church in Springfield.

Survivors include: his daughter, Maria Franklin of Wyoming; daughter in law, Stacey Gold of Billings; grandchildren, Chesha Thompson and husband Michael of Washington, Nicholas Lessig of Wyoming, Michael Harley Lessig of Ozark, Amy Lynn Lessig of Billings, Lee Lessig of Billings and Gracie Lessig of Billings; great grandsons, Callum Thompson and Liam Thompson; and sister, Ludmilla Lessig of Idaho.

In addition to his wife; Alex was preceded in death by his parents; and a son Alexis Michael Lessig.

A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 12, 2023 at Union Ridge Cemetery, Boaz, under direction of Adams Funeral Home, Nixa, with Father Basil Ferguson officiating.
