Linda A. Gallion-Maples, age 71, of Springfield, passed away surrounded by her family, Friday, March 22, 2013. She was born to Leonard and Rosegene (Scholtz) Bilyeu August 3, 1941, in rural Christian County. Linda was a member of Riverdale Baptist Church, Nixa, and attended Spokane First Baptist Church for many years. Linda was very strong in her church and a very active member. Linda had a 30 year career in banking, starting at Empire Bank, and retiring at Christian County National Bank. Linda retired as a vice president of the Christian County National Bank and was an event coordinator for the senior citizens who were clients of the Christian County National Bank. Linda was an outgoing, caring, and nurturing person. She was always there when she was needed and loved to help people. She was a fabulous cook and loved to travel. She enjoyed the ocean, the lakes, fishing and loved to spend time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Linda is survived by two sons, Mike Melton, and wife Kena, of Springfield, Mark Melton, and wife Teresa, of Rogersville; three sisters, Barbara Bilyeu, of Ozark, Sharon Blansit, of Ash Grove, Jeannie Johnson, and husband Van, of Marshfield; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Linda is preceded in death by her parents, two husbands, Leon Gallion and Perry Maples. Memorial donations may be made in lieu of flowers to the youth department at Riverdale Baptist Church, Nixa, Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 26, 2013 at 2:00 P.M. at Riverdale Baptist Church. There will be no visitation as per Linda"�s request. Arrangements are under the direction of Adams Funeral Home, Nixa.
